CAMBODIA’S MARITIME GATEWAY
Arrive
by sea.
Go further.
Sihanoukville is where international cruise ships meet Cambodia—and where the road, coast and islands open into one much bigger journey.KRONG PREAH SIHANOUK
A working port.
A changing city.
A coastline in motion.
Sihanoukville should be understood honestly: this is not a preserved resort town. It is Cambodia’s only international commercial deep seaport, a fast-changing regional city and the essential gateway to the country’s southern islands.
For a cruise passenger, it is also the first handshake with Cambodia. Stay local for beaches, markets and Ream—or use a longer call to reach Kampot’s river and pepper country.
THE CRUISE DOCK
Big ships.
A direct welcome.
International vessels berth at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, including ships operated by Holland America, Princess, Regent Seven Seas, Seabourn, Viking and Crystal. Depending on operational conditions, a call may use the quay or tender arrangements.
The port sits near the Victory Beach side of the city. Cruise transfers, organised excursions and local transport connect passengers with the city, beaches and wider province. Always follow the ship’s all-aboard time—Cambodian road journeys should never be planned too tightly.

MAKE THE PORT CALL COUNT
Three ways
into Cambodia.
The local introduction
Port → pagoda → Phsar Leu → beach or resort → ship
Low-stress and close enough to leave room for traffic and port formalities. The nature day
Port → Ream area → coastal lunch → panoramic city stop → ship
Best with an established operator monitoring the vessel’s schedule. The southern story
Port → Kampot river → pepper farm → Kep → ship
A deeper route only when the published arrival and departure genuinely allow it.DON’T SAIL AWAY TOO QUICKLY
The port is
the beginning.
Passengers beginning or ending a regional cruise can turn the call into a full Cambodia holiday: the islands for tropical escape, Kampot and Kep for flavour, Phnom Penh for capital energy, and Siem Reap for Angkor.PLAN YOUR ARRIVAL →
CRUISE SMART
Four things
to get right.
Confirm how you arrive
Berthing and tender arrangements can change. Use the ship’s final information, not an old port guide.
Protect the return
Use a clear meeting point, carry the port agent details and aim to be back well before all-aboard.
Carry small cash
US dollars and Cambodian riel are useful for markets, tuk-tuks and small purchases; reject damaged dollar notes.
Don’t attempt Angkor
Siem Reap is not a sensible same-day road excursion. Make it a proper pre- or post-cruise stay.
