WHY PEOPLE STAY

Life feels
more alive.

Cambodia can offer something increasingly rare: the energy of a country moving forward and the human scale of a place where people still make time for each other.

Days move from coffee and work to football, family tables, live music and last-minute invitations. Khmer warmth is the centre of the experience; an international community from across Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa and Australasia adds more languages, ideas and friendships.

MAKE THE MOVE WELL

Try the life.
Then decide.

The best relocation begins as a well-planned stay, not an irreversible leap.
01 · RENT FIRST

Learn your neighbourhood

Begin with a serviced apartment or short lease. Test traffic, noise, drainage, power, internet and building management at the times you will actually use them.

02 · CHECK THE PAPERWORK

Visa and work are separate questions

Entry, extensions of stay and permission to work are not interchangeable. Check current requirements with official Cambodian authorities and qualified local advisers.

03 · BUY WITH CARE

Foreign ownership has limits

Foreign nationals cannot directly own Cambodian land. Certain co-owned building units may be available under specific conditions; never rely on a sales pitch in place of independent Cambodian legal advice.

04 · BUILD A SAFETY NET

Insurance before optimism

Choose cover appropriate to your age and health, understand exclusions and keep a plan for specialist care or medical evacuation when required.
